Last Day!

Insert the picture here.

We have one day left until the awesomeness of Gears n' Roses comes to you. And this time, I don't think it's all hype. It's bigger than the entire (compressed) Season 6. Not the ACTUAL entire season, but when the season is compressed into 154kb, removing the bonus stuff, it is definitely bigger.

Now then, since this will probably be the last "casual talk" post for a while, let's get a lot of it done.

...I sure hope people read this.

Have you ever heard "Green Grass and High Tides?" If not, I've found a nice little YouTube link to it. While the song is not in the special, I WANTED IT TO BE. But, there was nowhere to put it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R82OM5tzcrk That's the song, by The Outlaws. Hardest guitar song in Rock Band.

If any of you have ever played Gears of War, the special might be more fun to read. Especially.... at parts where things break off from the average game route. If you haven't, I REALLY recommend the game. It'd be great to play on Halloween!

Anybody played Kirby Super Star Ultra? Beaten it? 100%? With all the Helper to Hero characters? I have. It... it owns. It does.

Anybody seen This is Spinal Tap? LOVE that movie. Believe it or not, but Dark's "rocker" personality is based off Nigel Tufnel, the lead guitarist from Spinal Tap. Note: Spinal Tap is not a real, actual band. They are fictional. But, they're damn funny. And they have made an impact on popular culture, as well.

Watch TV. Play games. Do you ever notice anything saying, "These go to eleven," "It goes to 11," "Up to 11," or something like that? Like, in the newest Guitar Hero, in the loading screens is an amp that goes all the way up to 11. Well, DON'T THINK THAT JOKE CAME FROM GUITAR HERO. IT DIDN'T. It came from This is Spinal Tap. A hilarious scene. Look it up on YouTube, "These go to eleven." You'll see it. It is... it is FUNNY. It stars Nigel, so you'll hear how Dark is "supposed" to sound, and you'll see some classic British humo(u)r, and you'll see a bit of one of my favorite movies of all time. Hell, look up "Up to 11" on Wikipedia. It's in there.

Too lazy to look up the video? Fine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d54UU-fPIsY Bam. Watch it. Laugh. It's good ol' British humo(u)r.

Hey, have you ever seen the movie, Surf's Up? That movie is way better than I had previously thought. I mean, first I thought, "It's probably just another penguin movie," but WOW! It's.... it's a mock-u-mentary! That's what This is Spinal Tap is! It's a freaking MOCKUMENTARY! And it's funny!

So, you played Megaman 9 yet? I have. Love it. .......well.... actually, I can only beat Galaxy Man. That game is HARD. It is HARD. Great graphics, though. Lemme tell you, those graphics are the BEST in the world. No game can have better graphics than Megaman 9. Never. Look up a screenshot, and you'll agree with me that the graphics look.... they look better than Crysis'! Y'know, Crysis? That FPS for the PC that requires the best computer in the world to even play with lag? Still! Look up a YouTube video of MM9! ...fine, I'll get you one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YIis8GbgwM See that? That's actually the trailer, but it shows you the graphics. Look at those beautiful scenes! The backgrounds! The characters! Even the music is wonderful!

And if you think the graphics and music are perfect, the gameplay is exactly what games should play like! ....for the final level, at least. That **** is impossible. Not ACTUALLY impossible, but.... if you're not a Megaman fan.... a CLASSIC Megaman fan... it will take you a LONG time to beat a few levels. I'd hate to find out how hard MM9's final level is. Plus, it's only 10 bucks! With downloadable content, leaderboards, and stuff like that!

Also, if you wanna get it, get it for the Wii. Analog controllers.... don't work much for Megaman. I've found that out the hard way.

Next topic!

I'm shocked at how few people even know about the Oddworld series. And those who do have never played Abe's Oddysee, or Abe's Exodus. There are even demos for the PC out there. And, if you look far enough, you might find demos for the PlayStation. I still have Abe's Oddysee for the PSOne, as a matter of fact. Still, both Abe games are pure platforming action. Not as hard as MM9, but still hard. And, they involve GameSpeak, as well as the power to possess your enemies! Executed very well, as well!

Something awesome about Abe's Oddysee: No inventory. No HUD. No lives. No continues. No weapons. Just platforming action. And, by "no lives," I mean you have infinite lives. So, you can die by some pretty damn funny ways in there, and still keep on comin' back to die some more.

Next topic!

Ever played WarioWare? Any of them? Particularly, I prefer the two WarioWare, Inc games. Still don't see why they took the , Inc. out of the title. If you like partying with friends, get the Gamecube one. WarioWare, Inc.: Mega PARTY Games! It's a wild game. It rocks. You don't have to really unlock anything, and when you do, it doesn't take that much work. You just have to play stuff with your friends in Multiplayer, and have fun in Singleplayer. The hundreds of eight-second microgames are ridiculously simple, and are VERY addictive. It's one of the best Nintendo games ever made, in my opinion.

FINAL TOPIC!

Picked randomly from my mystical bag of mystery... the final topic is.... Sonic Shuffle!

You ever played Sonic Shuffle? Heard of it? It's for the DreamCast. ....heard of THAT? It's Sega's last system. I have one. And a VMU. FYI, the Sonic Adventure series were first on DreamCast before being ported to the Gamecube, with lots of added features.

Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes, Sonic Shuffle. It's Mario Party mixed with poker and a choose-your-own-adventure game. ...that's the best way I can put it. Most people hate it. Well, I LIKED IT. I still do. Still play it to this day.

Fun fact: in an interview regarding Shadow the Hedgehog, one of the developers claimed they'd never give Sonic a gun. ....Sonic Shuffle. "Gargantua." It's a 1-VS-3 minigame where Eggman turns one person giant, and on a rampage. The other 3 have to take him/her down with guns. Then, there's a minigame where the characters shoot targets as cowboys. THEY'RE BOTH GUN GAMES.

Also, you can play as a Chao in it. I love playing "Sonic LIVE!", and seeing a chao up there with an electric guitar. It rocks. Unfortunately, you can only be a Neutral chao. I'd love to see some Dark chao up on that stage, rockin' with some Rubber Goose tunes.

I don't really have much else to say, so...

SEE YA TOMORROW!
